Nicole Jalazo LCSW
Nicole is a Virginia State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Nicole received her Master’s of Social Work from The Smith College School of Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts. Nicole worked in North Carolina and New York before beginning practice in Northern Virginia. Nicole provides treatment to children and families, adolescents and adults managing issues of depression, anxiety, adjustment, trauma and loss. Nicole has specialized training in play and expressive therapies and is currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).
Counseling Experience
Nicole’s counseling experience includes agency and private practice work providing outpatient therapy to adults, children, adolescents and their families. Nicole has experience providing individual, group and family therapy to treat issues of trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, adjustment and loss. Nicole has worked as a trauma therapist utilizing play and expressive therapies to work with children whose lives are interfaced with issues of sexual abuse, family violence, loss and bereavement. She has facilitated parenting support, psycho-education and process groups, groups for sexually abused children and adolescents and non-offending caregiver support groups.
